为什么介词后面有时候不加ing

因为介词后面可跟4种情况:

1、介词后面跟名词: in a word 总之 by the way 顺便提一下

2、介词后跟名词性短语: on account of 为了某物

3、介词后跟动名词:success in doing sth 成功地做某事

4、介词后跟名词性从句:She is thinking about whether she should go to school.(她在想她是否应该去学校）

此外，如果介词作为不定式，后面要跟动词原形，如but、to。
