picture和imagine区别是什么

一、词性不同

picture既可以做名词，又可以做动词。imagine可以用作及物动词 (vt.)

imagine：印象形象影像图像肖像

三、用法不同

imagine：

1、用作名词 (n.)

We have an image of the U.S. as a very rich country.

我们印象中的美国是个富国。

2、用作及物动词 (vt.)

The image in the mirror reflects his mood.

镜子里映出的影像反映出了他的心情。

这两个词的差别的确是在映像和画面上。即便是用它们作动词，picture 表达的是一幅图（由不同的 images 组成的一个整体环境），image 则给出的是一个轮廓、大致的形象结构。其英文解释是 to make or produce a likeness of...... 或 to mirror / reflect / symbolize / typify 等等。image 比 picture 范围小，image 1:a mental picture that you have of sb/sth

2:a picture you seen from a mirror or a camera

3: a copy of sb/sth in the form of pictures
