peer和peek的区别

peer:

n. 同等地位的人，同龄人贵族

v. 凝视，盯着看隐现看见匹配

I peered at the operation manual of the machine.

我仔细看了一下这台机器的使用说明书。

This young man strives to peer the laws of the world.

这位年轻男子力求让世界上的法律变得平等。

peek:

v. 窥视，偷看微微露出，探出

n. 偷看一瞥，看一眼（计算机）读取数据

I took a peek outside the window， and the street was empty.

我瞥了一眼窗外，街上空无一人。

The teacher asked the children to close their eyes and not peek.

peek，和peep是同义词，快速地看，或偷看但如果只是快速瞥一眼，则用peek而不是peep。

而用在偷偷看的时候peep，peek都可以，peek更常用。
