和bound root的區別 free root

區別就是兩者都是形容詞+名詞boot短語，但意思是不一樣的，具體的不同如下

free root中文意思是自由根

It provides the basis for dealing with the on-disk file system， as it defines the file system's managing parameters (for example， total number of blocks， free root index node).

bound root中文意思是粘着詞根

A stem can be a bound root， a free morpheme， or a derived form itself.

free root，自由詞根，指可以單獨使用的詞根，如nation. bound root，粘着詞根，指必須和其它詞素結合起來才能使用的詞根，如dict本身無法作為一個單詞單獨使用，只能於一些詞綴一同使用，才能派生出一個真正意義上的詞語，如diction，predict.

1、不是所有單詞都有詞根可以分為free root和bound root.

2、比如 wind his car man這些屬於自由詞素，這些自由詞素也叫自由詞根，即free root，也就是沒有詞根.

3、再説説bound morphemes，分為bound root 和affix兩種x又分為inflected affix和functional affix，前者添加在詞尾，只改變語法功能，如單複數、比較級等，後者組成新詞，如un- ，dis- 等前綴.

4、以詞根 dict- 為例，嚴格來説是bound root，因為它不可以單獨成詞，如dictum dictate diction 單詞的詞根都是dict，也就是這些詞含義的最核心的部分.

5、詞綴分前綴和後綴，前綴可以改變詞根的含義，後綴改變單詞屬性

如，happy unhappy happily 但最根本的含義沒有改變.
