There be( not / no )…作为一种句型，自然也是有它的意思的，There be( not / no )…翻译为(没)有。

我们中文常说“有鸟在树上。”或“有一个漂亮的女孩在那里。”等，都需要用到there is 或 there are 的句型， 翻译成中文就是“有”的意思，是很常用的基本句型！

句型解析

1、There be + 代名词或名词（短语）+ 地点 / 时间 

这是最常见并且超实用的一个句型。表示“有某人（或某物）在某地（或某时）”。

ex: There are some birds in the tree 

树上有些鸟儿。

2、否定形式就是直接在be 后面加 not 或 no 疑问形式就是直接将be 搬到there前

否定形式就是句子会是：There be not / no … 。注意：not 不可直接加名词no才可直接加名词。而否定形式的句子，也就是: Is there / Are there …。

There is not any food on the table . = There is no food on the table .

桌上没有食物。

ex: Is there a girl in the room ? 

有个女孩在房里吗

3、be 动词可以用各种时态出现 

There be 指的就是中文的“有”，其中的be 动词可以用各种时态出现，如现在式的is 、are ，的过去式的was 、were ， 未来式的will be ， 完成式 have/has been 等。

ex: There was a rlver near here before . 

以前这里有一条河流。

There will be a party tomorrow . 

明天将有一场派对。

4、遵循“就近原则”

在这个举行中，主语是代名词或名词（短语），所以be 动词要搭配主语的单复数。如果句子中出现两个主语时，be动词的单复数要与最接近的主语一致，即遵循“就近原则”。

ex: There is a pen and some pencils on the desk.

有一支钢笔和一些铅笔在书桌上。

5、用于故事发生的开头

There be 句型还有一个很常用的场合， 那就是用于故事发生的开头，交代故事发生的时间。此时，因为是在讲述故事，所以be动词常用过去式，而且还常与过去时间副词连用。

ex：Once upon a time ， there was a giant in the castle .

很久很久以前，城堡里有一个巨人。

A: Look! There is a beautiful girl .

B: Really ? Which way ?But I can't find where she is .

A: 看啊 ！那边有一个漂亮女孩。
