such that和so that倒装句区别

Such…that 倒装有两种用法:

1） such +形容词+名词+that…

Such a beautiful woman was she that I fell in love immediately. 她是如此美丽，我立刻爱上了她。

Such a nice day was it that I went on an excursion. 天气这么好，我去远足了。

2) such was the…that… 此时such=so great

Such is the moment that all greats traverse. 一切伟大的事业都要经历这样的时刻。

Such is the elegance of this typeface that it is still a favourite of designers. 这种字体很优美，至今仍深受设计人员喜欢。

Such was the wind that we couldn't open the window. 风太大了，我们打不开窗户

so……that……只有一种倒装用法:

...

So small was the mark that I could hardly see it. 标记太小了，我几乎看不见。

So fast does light travel that we can hardly imagine its speed. 光速如此之快，我们几乎无法想象它的速度。

So quickly did he run that the others couldn't catch up with him. 他跑得那么快，其他人赶不上他。

So strange was the situation that I couldn't sleep. 情况太奇怪了，我睡不着

1） so that可以连在一起引导结果从句时，可以分开，也可以放在一起。so that分开时，so后面可接“形容词，副词或分词so位于句首，主句的主谓要倒装。

例 1 The book was so boring that he gave up reading it half way through. 这本书非常乏味，他读了一半就不读了。

例 2 He spoke so rapidly that we could not clearly understand him. 他说得太快，使我们无法清楚地了解他的意思。

例 3 So badly was he injured that he had to be sent to the hospital. 他的伤势很重，不得不送医院。

例 4 Susan was so exhausted that she couldn’t eat dinner.苏姗疲惫得吃不下晚餐。

2） such (…) that只用来引导结果状语从句。such后面可以接单数可数名词，复数可数名词，不可数名词。such放在句首，主谓要倒装。

例 1 This is such a useful dictionary that I’m thinking of buying it. 这本字典很有用，我正打算买一本。

例 2 This book is written in such easy English that beginners can understand it. 这本书是用浅易的英语写的，所以初学者可以读懂。

例 3 They are such fine teachers that we all hold them in great respect. 他们是非常好的老师，我们对他们极为尊敬。

例 4 The shock was such (= so great) that he was almost driven mad. 因为打击太大，她差点发疯了。

例 5 Such was the force of the eruption that the whole town was covered with ash. 火山爆发的威力大得使整个城市都被火山灰淹没了。
