want的用法口訣

（1）want 後加名詞或代詞

如：I want a mobile phone.(我想要一部手機)

I want them.(我想要它們)

（2）want to do sth

如：She wants to visit her grandparents.(她想去拜訪她的祖父母)

（3）want sb to do sth想要某人去做某事

如：My mother wants me to drink milk every morning.(我媽媽想讓我每天早上喝牛奶)

（4）want sb for sth為某事需要某人

如：We want three boys for the music show.(我們為音樂節需要三個男生

need， want， require後的非謂語動詞：

當這三個動詞表示“需要”時，其後接不定式和動名詞均可，且意思基本相同，只是所用語態不同：接動名詞時要用主動式表示被動含義，而接不定式時則要用被動形式表示被動含義。如：

1、 The machine wants repairing.

= The machine wants to be repaired.

這機器需要修理。

2、 These sentences need explaining.

=These sentences need to be explained.

這些句子需要加以解釋。

3、 Lentils do not require soaking before cooking.

= Lentils do not require to be soaked before cooking.

小扁豆在烹飪前不必浸泡。
