例如

We'll deliver the goods as soon as we can.我们将尽快交货。

As soon as he got home， the phone rang.他一到家，电话就响了。

The dogs ran off as soon as we appeared.我们一露面狗就跑了。

Carol answered the door as soon as I knocked.

as soon as 表示“一 ……就……”，用来引导时间状语从句。

其用法一般有两种情况 :

1 指未发生的动作。时态规律是“主将从现”，即主句用一般将来时，从句用一般现在时代替一般将来时。如：

I will tell him the news as soon as he comes back.

他一回来，我就告诉他这个消息。

【注】有时为了特意表达刚刚完成某事就如何如何，会用到现在完成时。如：

I will go with you as soon as I have washed my face.

我一洗好脸就跟你去。

2 指紧接着发生的两个短动作，主从句都用一般过去时。如：

He took out his English book as soon as he sat down.

他一坐下，就拿出自己的英语书。

一、as soon as

as soon as“一……就……剛……就……”，是从 衍化来的时间从属连词，引导时间状语从句，属于副词的比较范畴，表示一个动作接着另一个动作发生，其用法特点有

（一）时态要求

常用于一般简单时态，即一般现在时、一般过去时和一般将来时。

The machine starts as soon as the button is pressed.

一按按钮机器就开动起来。

As soon as I arrived home yesterday，the telephone rang.

昨天我一到家电话铃就响了。

I shall call you as soon as I arrive in Shanghai.

我一到上海就给你打电话。

（二）常用于祈使语气

由于它们要求用一般现在时和一般将来时，所以，经常用于祈使语气，并常和let，please连用。

Let us start as soon as he comes.

他一来就让我们开始吧。

Please tell us the instant you have any news.

一有消息请立即告诉我们。

Telephone me immediately you get the result.

你一得到结果就打电话给我。

二、the instant（that/when），the minute（that/when），the moment（that/when），the second（that/when），directly，immediately，instantly

这七个短语不仅和as soon as同义，均表示“一……就……刚……就……”，而且用法也一样：1.常用于一般简单时态2.常用于祈使语气3.从属连词的位置比较灵活，可放在句首或句子后部。这七个短语按结构可分为两种：the instant（that/when），the minute（that/when），the moment（that/when），the second（that/when），和directly，immediately，instantly，并各有其不同的特点。

（一）the instant（that/when），the minute（that/when），the moment

（that/when），the second（that/when）

四者中，定冠词the均不能省略，而它们的连词that或when则可以省略。就使用频度来说，这四个短语中，the second（that/when）用得不多：

You see the lightning the instant it happens，but you hear the thunder later.（从属连词前置，一般现在时。）

闪电一出现你就看得见，但是随后你才听到雷声。

The moment he saw me，he turned pale.

（从属连词前置，一般过去时。）他一看到我就脸色苍白。

I am going to tell you the moment（that/when） I get the information.（从属连词位于句子后部，一般将来时。）

我一有消息就告诉你。

I recognized him the second （that/when） we met each other.

（从属连词位于句子后部。）一见面我就认出了他。

一、as soon as释义

一……就……一经不久后，一会儿。既可以引导时间状语从句，表过去，又可以表示将来。as soon as引导时间状语从句当主句用一般过去时时，从句中用一般过去时或过去完成时。

二、as soon as的用法

as soon as 的用法一般是两种情况：

1、指未发生的动作，规律是：主句一般将来时，从句用一般现在时代替一般将来时。

如：I will tell him the news as soon as he comes back.

注：有时，为了特意表达刚刚完成某事就如何如何，需要用现在完成时.

如：I will go with you as soon as I have washed my face.

2、指紧接着发生的两个短动作，主从句都用一般过去时

如: He took out his English books as soon as he sat down。

不过，我也见过从句和主句都用一般现在时的情况.

如：As soon as he finishes his classwork，he runs out of the class.他一做完课堂作业，就跑出了教室.

一般来说as soon as前后的动词用主将从现，主句用一般将来时，从句用一般现在时。

三、as soon as的用法例句

1、 As soon as he got inside， the dog shook himself.他一进来，狗就开始摇头摆尾。

2、 They stopped you as soon as you deviated from the script.一旦你偏离了剧本的内容，他们就会喊停。

3、 As soon as the two chicks hatch， they leave the nest burrow.两只小鸟一出壳就离开了巢穴。

4、 As soon as we were inside， the rain began to bucket down.我们刚进屋，大雨便倾盆而下。
